Blademaster's Basics - Guide

Follow the link for more detailed information. In the meantime, as a BM, you have to decide which weapon you would like to specialize in:

Axe/Hammer Blademaster: Good for Stun and AoE spells.
Polearm Blademaster: Good for Range and Bleed attacks.
Sword/Blade Blademaster: Ideal for one on one combat.
Fist Blademaster: Very uncommon. Increases your dodge rate. If you plan to go down this route, be aware that most BMs do not recommend this build.

As for attribute points, all BMs should wear heavy armour to get the most of being a BM. Heavy armor requires 5 STR every 2 levels, meaning, 3 STR on the even levels and 2 on the odd levels.

The following stat builds are for heavy armour: Available points every 2 levels: 10


Axe/Hammer

Required stats every two levels: 6 STR | 1 DEX
Free stat points left: 3

Suggested stat to add the left points (PvE): VIT
Suggested stat to add the left points (PvP): VIT and DEX
Suggested stat to add the left points (TW): VIT and DEX


Polearm

Required stats every two levels: 5 STR | 2 DEX
Free stat points left: 3

Suggested stat to add the left points (PvE): VIT
Suggested stat to add the left points (PvP): VIT and DEX
Suggested stat to add the left points (TW): VIT



Sword/Blade

Required stats every two levels: 5 STR | 3 DEX
Free stat points left: 2

Suggested stat to add the left points (PvE): VIT
Suggested stat to add the left points (PvP): VIT and DEX
Suggested stat to add the left points (TW): VIT


Fist

Required stats every two levels: 5 STR | 4 DEX
Free stat points left: 1
